OUR PEOPLE

At the core of what we do in servicing our members is to put our people first by instilling a sense of pride and responsibility in representing members interest in the sectors that we are currently organising.

Our critical resolve is to further provide the necessary training to all our union officials to represent workers more successfully in disciplinaries and negotiations and also to be more successful at recruiting all workers.

In addition, we have adopted an employee-centric approach to create an environment where we respect our union officials and take good care of them. Each union official is valued and viewed as important to the unions’ success in achieving its shared vision and mission.

Our shopstewards and union officials form the foundation of our trade union. Without a team of committed, hardworking, disciplined, and knowledgeable shop stewards, our principle of workers’ and democracy will not function.

All our union officials have a major responsibility to help protect the interest of our members in their various work places every day. For this reason, PSTWU greatly values its union officials who act as a link between the trade union and its members on a daily basis.
